Module 9

Leonardo Da'vinci: Mind of the renaissance and the drawings of Michelangelo I chose these two videos because prior to these assignments I knew little about these artists and would like to explore them more. Leonardo Da'Vinci: mind of the renaissance - The video talks about how Leonardo makes millions of drawings and sketches for every work that he does and then shakes off the extra things in his art that are not needed anymore as he progresses. The drawings of Michelangelo -Michelangelo made in-depth sketches before actually executing the piece. The video takes the time to closely look at the artist’s pencil and charcoal works with the painting, sculpture, and architecture that grew out of them. His drawings were very in-depth and complicated. The videos relate to the text because in divulges more into the information on mannerism and how it grew out of possibilities suggested by the work of High Renaissance artists. In my own opinion I'm not really into learning through videos I get distracted and don't comprehend as well as I would through text, beside the point the information was interesting and provided a different understanding of the concepts from the book.
